Sophia Connect Introduces Innovative Traffic Management System at Terminal 2
Starting January 9, 2025, Sophia Connect, the operator of Sofia Airport, will implement a new traffic management system at Terminal 2. This system, assembled using the best European practices, aims to enhance organization, safety, and service quality for passengers and visitors, while preventing improper parking and congestion.
"This initiative is part of Sophia Connect’s commitment to providing a safer, more comfortable, and better-organized travel experience at Terminal 2," said Jesus Cabayero, CEO of Sophia Connect. "The controlled access system is a significant step in transforming Sofia Airport into a modern European airport, modeled after successful systems at Munich, Amsterdam, and Rome airports."
Vehicle registration numbers will be recorded via barrier systems for accessing Terminal 2 by car starting this date.
