Tension escalated at Seliordanio Hospital in the Bulgarian city of Sliven on Wednesday as family members of a deceased patient gathered, demanding answers. However, the situation did not devolve into a physical altercation, according to local news outlet BNT.
Six police units and patrol cars were swiftly dispatched to the scene, but no injuries or property damage were reported. The family eventually dispersed after the details of the case were clarified.
The incident comes on the heels of another recent tragedy at the hospital, where a one-year-old child passed away, with the parents blaming medical errors for their loss.
