Teresa Gallagher, née Dillane, of Leahies, Foynes, County Limerick, and formerly of Asdee, County Kerry, passed away peacefully at her home on September 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was late of St. Ita’s Hospital in Newcastle West and the Dromcollogher Respite Centre.
Mrs. Gallagher was predeceased by her parents, Nora and Michael, her sisters Kitty Fitzgerald and Mary Ann Daly, and her brother Tony Dillane.
Funeral Arrangements and Memorial Services
Reposing will take place at St. Senan’s Church in Foynes on Sunday, September 27, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A Requiem Mass will follow at the same church on September 28 at 12 noon, which will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
Following the Requiem Mass, burial will take place at Knockpatrick Cemetery. The family has requested family flowers only. Donations, if desired, can be directed to the Milford Hospice Care team, with the family extending heartfelt thanks for their compassionate care and support.
Surviving Family Members
Mrs. Gallagher is deeply regretted and missed by her husband, Michael, and her sons, John, Keith, and Brian. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law Eileen Cassidy, Antoinette Roche, and Maria Deery, as well as her grandchildren Megan, Michael, Seranne, Ellie, Kaitlyn, and Therese, and great-granddaughter Anna.
Additional surviving family members include her brothers Joe, David, and Micheál, sister-in-law Marion, and brothers-in-law Thomas and Denis, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors, and friends.
