Mayor‘s Self-Praise Raises Eyebrows as Sofia Councilor slammed the "Change" Sponsor

Sofia’s political landscape has been anything but quiet following comments from a city councilor aimed at the mayor. Anton Heikmyan, a member of GERB-SDS, took to Facebook to express his disapproval of the mayor’s public stance and self-praise, stating that such behavior borders on a diagnosis.

Qu落ちThe sole memorable part of the mayor’s first term report was the quote, "We are not without sin, but we are sincere."

Now, in a turn of events, the very same mayor, who once vowed to bring change to the capital, has declared themselves "very satisfied" with their progress during what they described as a "dynamic" year. It seems that the city’s residents will have to discern for themselves whether this satisfaction aligns with their own experiences.

A satirical song with Balkan rhythms echoes the irony and sarcasm felt by many Sofia residents. Its lyrics paint a bleak picture of the mayor’s tenure:

"…I am very satisfied, and so is the woman, she, too, is satisfied, the children, the grandmother, the grandfather, the neighbors, we are all very satisfied!"

Sofia residents have been voicing their opinions, with an average rating of 2.1 stars based on 30 votes on the city’s official rating system.
