As 2024 drew to a close, the Ukrainian military staged a Bold, late-night assault on Crimea, with Russian forces successfully repelling the strike. According to Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor of Sevastopol, four aerial targets were downed over the sea, and two[2] enemy drones were destroyed near the coast.

Though unconfirmed officially by the Russian defense ministry, these claims echo fears about Russia‘s loss of experienced military personnel. Local authorities acknowledged the attack and praised their forces’ successful defense.
