A Return to London
The band last performed in the UK in December 2018, completing a series of shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album ‘Gran Turismo’. The upcoming concert will also be held at the Eventim Apollo, and is currently scheduled as their only UK appearance for 2026.

A History of Hiatus and Return
Formed in 1992, The Cardigans released their debut album ‘Emmerdale’ in 1994. Following the release of their sixth studio album, ‘Super Extra Gravity’ in 2005, the band entered a period of hiatus. They resumed touring in 2012 and have since performed in Europe and Japan, including two shows in Japan last October.
Frontwoman Nina Persson has also pursued solo work under the name A Camp, and contributed vocals to a 2007 track by Manic Street Preachers, ‘Your Love Alone Is Not Enough’ from the album ‘Send Away The Tigers’. In 2014, Persson indicated a desire to record new material with The Cardigans if the band continued to enjoy touring. A clip of the band playing what appeared to be new music surfaced on social media in 2022.
