The liquidation of the railway bridge will cut off Zahradní Město and Hostivař from trams

The main reason is the liquidation of the railway bridge, on which trains were still running at the beginning of December. The closure of the underpass between Průběžná, Na Padesátém and Švehlová streets will also enable further work on the construction of the new Prague-Zahradní Město railway station. It will also serve as an important interchange between PID and public transport trains.

The shutter touches a large number of lines. For trams, it will be daily 22 – all connections of this line will be terminated at the Staré Strašnice stop (Radošovická boarding stop) and 26, which will be diverted in the direction from the center from the Strašnická stop to the Kubánské náměstí stop. Night lines number 97 and 99 will be shortened in the direction from the center to the Staré Strašnice stop (Radošovická boarding stop).

In the route Strašnická – Staré Strašnice – Zahradní Město – Nádraží Hostivař, an alternative bus service X26 (day) and X97 (night) will be introduced.

Bus lines 101, 138, 175, 177 and 195 will run elsewhere in the affected section. Lines X101 and X175 will be introduced as a replacement for parts of their routes. You will find a complete overview of changes and transport measures during the closure here.
