Heads Up, Drivers: Confusing Traffic Light Setup in Plovdiv‘s "Tsarevets" Street

A local driver has raised an alarm about a perplexing traffic light situation at two intersections along Tsarevets Street, which could potentially lead to serious accidents. The issue concerns the traffic light devices at the crossings with ‘Solunska’ Street and ‘Hadjidimitrov’ Street.

"While waiting at the red light of traffic light 1, it might be confusing but please note that traffic light 2’s green signal doesn’t apply to you," explained the driver, hoping to prevent others from making the same mistake. "Both lights turn red simultaneously, making it tempting to proceed when traffic light 2 turns green, but please don’t!"

According to the driver, out of the four times he waited, approximately 8 out of 10 vehicles didn’t heed his visual and auditory warnings,Atlthough luckily, no accidents occurred. "Let’s be more cautious until the municipality finds a solution to address this confusing layout," the driver urged.

To avoid misunderstandings, drivers should remain aware of the traffic light sequence at these intersections and exercise extra caution.
