Headline: Clear the Fog: Honorer’s Pathway to ASN in 2024 – Mechanisms Explained
Subhead: Confusion persists among honorary workers about their transition to ASN. Let’s demystify the process.
In the rapidly evolving landscape of Indonesia’s civil service, a significant portion of the workforce, often referred to as honorer or tenaga honorer, grapples with understanding the mechanisms in place for their transition to ASN (PNS) in 2024. Despite the clear path laid out by the recent UU ASN No 20 Tahun 2023, many remain uncertain about their future.
The primary concern seems to stem from the upcoming PPPK (Peny Gegensuhan Pegawai Negeri Sipil) process, set for 2024. Many honorer struggle to grasp the intricacies of this recruitment mechanism, even as they express anxiety about its outcomes.
"Will those who fail the CPNS selection be able to participate in PPPK phase 2 or even phase 3? is a prevalent question among the community, with many adamantly planning to apply for the CPNS 2024 despite theoming PPPK," said an individual with the handle 9668.rz.
This confusion is not without cause. In certain regions, a lack of clear information from the BKD (Badan Kepegawaian Daerah) contributes to the misunderstandings, leading many honorer to cling to the seemingly safer option of CPNS.
However, the recent Permenpan RB No 6 tahun 2024 clears the air on this matter. The regulation explicitly states that participants are not allowed to apply for two types of recruitment processes simultaneously. In other words, if an honorer has already registered for the CPNS, they will not be permitted to apply for PPPK within the same year.
"This is plainly outlined in Permenpan RB No 6 tahun 2024," the regulation confirms.
As 2024 approaches, it is crucial for all honorer to familiarize themselves with these processes, seek clarity from relevant authorities, and plan accordingly. The pathway to becoming a full-fledged ASN may seem complex, but with understanding and preparation, it need not be daunting.
