Heavy snow and ice have led to a major traffic snag at the ‘Shipka’ pass, with three trucks blocking the road, according to drivers stuck in the winter chaos. One of the trucks has been stationary for over an hour, preventing others from passing. Witnesses report growing queues and ineffective snow-clearing machinery, with snow build-up continuing unabated.
Meanwhile, a minor collision occurred on the Sofia-Varna road near Malinovo village. A jeep and a car were involved, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
