Tiger Woods and TGR Design are bringing an 18-hole private golf destination to the North Shore of Long Island, transforming the former Tam O’Shanter Country Club layout in Brookville, New York, Golf Course Architecture reported.
Redeveloping the Former Tam O’Shanter Layout in Brookville
The Armchair Collective is leading the private golf and lifestyle project on Long Island’s Gold Coast. The site has remained closed since the Tam O’Shanter Country Club shut down in 2021. Crews have already started site preparation and demolition work on the Brookville property.
Plans for the new layout include extensive practice facilities anchored by a 20,000-square-foot, Himalayas-inspired putting green. The facility will also feature a dedicated golf performance centre, a new clubhouse, and member cottages for guests.
