Monday to Bring Chilly Weather, Fog, and Strong Winds in Morocco; Coastal Regions Face Rough Seas
Morocco’s National Meteorological Directorate has issued an updated weather outlook for Monday, with conditions expected to be generally cool to cold across several regions of the kingdom. The morning and night hours are anticipated to bring frost or icy roads in the high plateaus, the southeast, the eastern region, the high Atlas, and the inland plains.
Thick fog is predicted to form during the morning and night in the northern and central plains, as well as in the eastern region. Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain stable and sunny in various parts of the kingdom.
Strong gusts of wind are forecast in the Anti-Atlas and the northern and southern provinces.
Overnight temperatures are expected to range between -06˚C and 00˚C in the high Atlas plateaus, and between 00˚C and 04˚C in the rest of the Atlas, rural areas, and high plateaus. In the Souss region and the northwest desert areas, temperatures will range between 09˚C and 15˚C, while in the rest of the regions, temperatures will range between 04˚C and 07˚C.
Daytime temperatures, however, are expected to be higher.
Sea conditions are predicted to be rough to very rough along the Mediterranean coast, and rough to moderately rough in the morning. The northern coasts of Asilah will also experience rough seas.
