Tragic Crash Claims Life of Mother and Her Two Daughters

A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded this morning as the summer season of 2025 kicked off. A family from La Plata met with a catastrophic accident on Route 11, with the vehicle careening and colliding into a tree. The impact claimed the lives of the mother and her daughters, aged 3 and 10. The father and an 8-year-old son were critically injured.

The incident occurred at kilometer 263.5 on Route 11, in the partido of General Lavalle. Preliminary investigations suggest that the family’s black Toyota Etios lost control at high speed, eventually crashing into a tree on the central median. According to a report by El Día, the vehicle was traveling at 160 km/h in a 110 km/h zone and swerved after brushing against another vehicle.

The 42-year-old driver was found lying on the ground outside the vehicle, receiving immediate assistance before being transported to a La Plata public hospital. His 8-year-old son, who suffered severe injuries including a compound fracture of his right leg, was also hospitalized. His condition is reported to be critical.

Clarín confirmed the identities of the victims as Mariana Ambrosio (42), Eva Reales (3), and Josefina Reales (10). All three were pronounced dead at the scene. The family had been kicking off their vacation as the summer season began, but the trip turned into a tragic end.
