Hubballi Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar stated that the department is currently verifying claims that the newborn is receiving medical treatment in Karwar. “We have issued a notice and are conducting an enquiry as to how the whole incident has taken place,” Kumar said. “There is a need for a very comprehensive investigation because things are not clear on many aspects.”
