In a cruel turn of events, a 56-year-old man from Córdoba province, identified as Roberto José Basualdo, brutally murdered his wife before taking his own life in a horrifying crash on the Provincial Route 11.
Investigators revealed that Basualdo, in a fit of rage and violence, savagely attacked and killed 42-year-old Silvina Lorena Curbello, his partner, in their home located in the town of Monte Maíz, approximately 300 kilometers south of Córdoba’s capital.
Neighbors raised the alarm around 20:35 last night, reporting the violent collision of a gray Chevrolet Sonic against a tree at the intersection of Route 11 and La Pampa Street. The vehicle was entirely engulfed in flames, and Basualdo was extracted from the wreckage by witnesses before being rushed to a local hospital, where he subsequently passed away from his injuries.

Officers discovered a young man distraught and crying outside a property on La Pampa Street. When asked, he revealed that his mother, Silvina Curbello, was found dead inside, having been subjected to a brutalattack.
