Tragic Blaze in Saudi Arabia Claims Lives of Four Family Members, Leaves Six Injured
In a catastrophic incident, a fire that erupted in a residence in Saudi Arabia’s Hafar Al-Batin city has claimed the lives of four members of a Yemeni family, including three young girls and an infant. The unfortunate incident occurred early morning today, with the blaze erupting at around 4:30 am local time.
The victims, who were one among a family of eight, were pronounced dead at the scene despite swift response by the Saudi Civil Defense. The youngest victim was an 8-month-old baby, while an 18-year-old woman, who was to be married during the ongoing Ramadan, also lost her life.
The family’s elderly male member informed that he received a call alerting him of the fire engulfing his daughter’s house where the family was residing temporarily. The massive fire, which is believed to have started from an electrical short circuit, engulfed the house, making it impossible to rescue the trapped individuals.
Six others, including children, sustained severe burn injuries and were rushed to various hospitals in Hafar Al-Batin for urgent medical attention.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the small community, with neighbors expressing their condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
