Motorcycle Accident in Montana Leaves Two Injured; Alcohol and Drugs Ruled Out
In a incident that occurred yesterday on the road between Montana and Berkovitsa, near a junction leading to the villages of Borovtsi and Zgmfilovo, a motorcycle rider and his partner sustained injuries in a crash, reported by the Ministry of Interior (MVM).
A 58-year-old Berkovitsa resident was at the helm of the motorcycle and entered an intersection, where it collided with the rear left side of a light car driven by a 66-year-old man from Vratsa.
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist suffered a broken pelvis and was hospitalized in Montana. Fortunately, his life is not in danger. His 44-year-old passenger sustained a fracture in one of her fingers. She was examined by medical professionals and was released with instructions for home medical care.
Police officers who arrived at the scene conducted alcohol and drug tests on both drivers, which came back negative. A inspection was conducted, and a criminal investigation was opened.
