Aslak Maurstad Takes Over the Panel After Years of Fan Analysis
In October, TV 2 announced that 34-year-old Aslak Maurstad would join the panel for the new season of «Spillet». Maurstad stated in a press release that he was thrilled by the invitation to join a show he had not only watched entirely, but also created online analysis videos about during his free time. Truls Svendsen expressed strong support for his successor, noting that Maurstad’s prior engagement with the series makes him an ideal fit for the role. According to Svendsen, who has watched the first two episodes of the new season, Maurstad’s performance is exceptional.
Truls Svendsen Shifts Focus to New Reality Series «Varulv»
Svendsen explained to Dagbladet that his departure from «Spillet» stems from his commitment to host TV 2’s upcoming reality series, «Varulv», alongside 28-year-old influencer Oskar Westerlin. While Svendsen noted he could have continued on «Spillet», scheduling conflicts made it impossible to participate in everything, describing the transition as a fair arrangement that allows him to concentrate fully on the new production. «Varulv» is a social deduction game based on the tabletop game «Werewolves of Millers Hollow» and is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
