U.S. Presidential Advisor Ken Weinstein Outlines Trump‘s Strategy for Europe and Ukraine
WASHINGTON — Ken Weinstein, an external political advisor to President-elect Donald Trump, has shed light on the incoming administration’s strategy towards Europe and Ukraine. Weinstein, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Deutschlandfunk that Trump is well aware of his goals and finds joy in playing with the perception of others.
"You have to meet Trump halfway if you want to avoid more chaos," Weinstein said. According to him, the future U.S. strategy for Europe and Ukraine willnot be business as usual, but he refrained from providing specific details.
Trump’s unconventional approach to politics and foreign affairs has raised eyebrows worldwide. Weinstein, however, believes that the president-elect’s tactics are deliberate and not a sign of unpredictability. "Trump knows exactly what he wants to achieve, and he’s aware that people see him as mad. He uses that to his advantage," he said.
As the Trump administration prepares to take office, European and Ukrainian officials are eagerly awaiting details of Trump’s plans for the region. Weinstein’s comments suggest that the incoming administration plans to take a more assertive approach to U.S. foreign policy, challenging the established norms and potentially stirring up diplomatic tensions.
The full interview with Ken Weinstein will air later this week on Deutschlandfunk. Stay tuned for more updates on Trump’s foreign policy strategy.
