Trump Steps Out with a Surprising New Hairstyle for New Year’s Eve
Article:
In an unexpected twist, former President Donald Trump debuted a new hairstyle at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, Values Magazine has learned. The 78-year-old has become known for his signature white, swept-over look, but his New Year’s Eve appearance featured a drastic change.
Trump first introduced his iconic hairstyle during his presidential announcement at Trump Tower in New York City in 2015. Since then, the hairstyle has been a constant presence in global news outlets, television channels, and social media platforms.
However, when Trump and his wife Melania, 54, hosted their New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, the usual hairstyle was noticeably absent. Instead, Trump emerged with a shorter, more styled look that left his followers taken aback.
Earlier in December, Trump had also been spotted with a new hairstyle, sparking lively conversation on X and drawing mixed reactions from users. Despite some favorable comments, others weren’t particularly fond of the new style.
Stylist Erlend Elias Bragstad, a frequent contributor to Values Magazine, weighed in on Trump’s recent hairstyle transformations. "From a hairstyle that needs no introduction to what I’d describe as a ‘mullet’ or ‘hockey sweep’ [in Norwegian], it’s a bold change. Of course, it’s much better than that lifeless, greasy mess it was before," Bragstad said.
Bragstad also floated the idea that Trump might have had external help with his new look. "Is it a transplant? Or perhaps a loaner from a friend? It’s eerily similar to [former President] Biden’s, don’t you think? Just kidding," he quipped.
Trump, 78, will officially be inaugurated as the U.S. President on January 20 in Washington D.C., succeeding Joe Biden, 82. Whether sporting his classic hairstyle or a new look, all eyes will be on Trump as he assumes the highest office in the land once again.
