Fatal Collision Between BMW and Volkswagen on Plovdiv-Kaloianovo Road; Driver and Passenger Killed
In a tragic incident earlier today, two vehicles, a BMW and a Volkswagen, collided near the Kaloianovo junction, resulting in the death of the Volkswagen driver and their passenger. The deceased have been identified, but details have not been officially released.
Four young men traveling in the BMW were also involved in the accident. The 19-year-old driver tested negative for alcohol, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior’s press center in Plovdiv. They were all taken to the hospital for medical checks.
The traffic to Karlovo has been diverted via a roundabout in Trud, leading to Stroievo. Those heading towards Plovdiv are advised to proceed through the villages of Razhevo Konare, Glavatar, Padarsko, Momino selo, and Stroama.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
