U17 – IRM TEST: A dozen failed players including Mikail Ngor Faye

Several players from the national under-17 squad have been removed from the list of 40 selected for the 1st phase of preparation for of the tournament of the A zone of the Ufoa qualifying for the CAN of the same category, for having exceeded the authorized age limit, after having undergone the MRI test which makes it possible to determine with precision the age of a teenager under 17 years old.

Coach Malick Daf has seen his workforce reduced to almost half of the forty elements initially called. Pope Matar Sarr’s former teammate Mikail Ngor Faye, who was applying for a third African Cup of Nations, was ultimately failed by MRI tests. The defender is however equipped to join the selection of Youssoupha Dabo, that of the under 20 years.

The U17 technical staff thus recalled 20 other players among those who were preselected during the first three stages. The latter who joined the Youssoupha Ndiaye Center of Excellence in Guéréo yesterday morning for an internship from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 October 2020 will in turn take the MRI tests this Friday, we learned from the record newspaper. They will then do COVID 19 / PCR tests before starting collective training, adds the same source.
