The academic community and the public are mourning the loss of Dr. Pepi Siti Paturohmah, a distinguished lecturer at the State Islamic University (UIN) in Bandung, who tragically lost her life in an accident on the Cipularang Toll Road. The incident occurred on Saturday, leaving behind a void in the hearts of colleagues, students, and fellow Muslimat members.
Dr. Pepi was a prominent figure in the Faculty of Adab and Social Sciences at UIN Bandung. Her passion for teaching and research, coupled with her commitment to the Muslimat community, made her an inspiration to many. The news of her sudden demise has shocked and saddened the university and beyond.
Witnesses reported that the accident happened around the 86th kilometer mark of the Cipularang Toll Road. A minibus carrying Dr. Pepi and other Muslimat members from West Java was involved in the collision, resulting in her tragic death. The other passengers were rushed to the nearest hospital for immediate medical attention.
"Dr. Pepi’s contributions to UIN Bandung and the Muslimat community are invaluable," said the university’s rector, Prof. Dr. Choraya.
