Title: Belarus Bolsters Military Presence Near Ukraine’s Border

In a span of two weeks, from December 23 to January 5, Belarus significantly ramped up its military presence along Ukraine’s border, according to observations by the OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) project Belaruski Gaun. The team reported that Belarusian ground forces were deployed in the respective regions of Stolin, Lelchitsy, Mazyr, and Homel.

The Belarusian military buildup coincides with the arrival of a Russian military transporter, an Il-76 aircraft, during this period. This addition to the already substantial military presence fuels concerns about potential military activities in the region.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has consistently maintained that his country faces a threat of invasion, although no concrete evidence supporting his claims has been presented.

In early December, Lukashenko’s regime conducted trials of a new missile for the "Buk-MB2" system on the territory of the former 41st aviation polygon, located near the Ukrainian border. This test further amplified tensions in the region.

As the geopolitical dynamics between Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine remain volatile, the world continues to watch these developments closely.
