Maria Vitushok, A New Diplomatic Face

With a master’s degree in international economic relations from Kyiv National University, Vitushok’s professional journey has spanned both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic service. She now joins the diplomatic corps as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Other Notable Appointments

The presidential decree also included promotions for:

  • Ruslan Kurichenko, the head of the state protocol and ceremonial service within the Office of the President, who has been granted the same diplomatic rank as Vitushok.
  • Maria Marchenko, deputy head of the Department of European Integration and Euro-Atlantic Integration at the O viet, who is now a Second Class Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary.

Additionally, the president has also awarded diplomatic ranks to several Ukrainian ambassadors abroad and Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff.

This move signals significant shifts in the Ukrainian diplomatic scene, potentially signifying realignments in foreign policy priorities or recognitions of key individuals’ contributions. The Office of the President has been tight-lipped about the specifics behind these appointments.
