The University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) is now accepting applications for its CHANCE program, a four-day intensive summer experience designed to prepare rising high school juniors and seniors for the challenges and opportunities of college life. Specifically geared towards Latino students, the program aims to build connections, foster leadership skills, and provide key insights into the university admissions process.

What is CHANCE?

Known as the Campamento Hispano Abriendo Nuestro Camino a la Educación (CHANCE), the program offers a unique immersion into college culture. The 2026 CHANCE program will take place from July 14th to July 18th on the UNCG campus. The program fee is $65, non-refundable, and must be paid within two weeks of selection. Spaces are limited to 100 students and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who is Eligible?

To be considered for the CHANCE program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be of Latino heritage.
  • Currently be a high school student.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8.
  • Be completing 11th grade.
  • Submit official high school transcripts.
