Financial Aid Opportunities in January 2025: Who Qualifies and How to Apply
In January 2025, financial assistance will be provided to specific categories of the population under certain vulnerability criteria. Here’s what you need to know about who qualifies, the application process, and where to go for help.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible for financial support if you fall into one of the following categories and meet the specified vulnerability criteria:
- Individuals with Internal Displaced Person (IDP) status who have relocated within the last 6 months.
- Ukrainian nationals who have returned to Ukraine after being forced to leave their homes and relocate abroad.
To be considered vulnerable, you must also fit one of the following profiles:
- A single parent with one or more children aged under 18, or living with someone aged 55 or above.
- An elderly individual (55 years or older) living alone or with one or more children under 18.
- A family with a member(s) with special needs, such as severe illnesses, disabilities, or other challenges.
Additionally, if you received monetary aid from international organizations as an IDP within the last three months and have returned to your permanent residence in Ukraine or abroad, you may be eligible if you also meet the vulnerability criteria.
Applicants must also meet the following socioeconomic criteria: a monthly income per family member of less than 5400 UAH. Those who have not previously received financial assistance from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) or other charitable organizations will be prioritized.
Application Process, Required Documents, and Aid Details
The total aid amount per family member is 10,800 UAH (3,600 UAH per person for a 3-month period). To apply, you’ll need to present original documents for each family member, including:
- Valid ID
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Birth certificates (for children)
- Bank card number (ePidtrimka cards are not accepted)
- Documents confirming your vulnerability status (e.g., medical certificates, social service center references)
- Personal phone number
All family members must be present at the registration point. However, if a family member is bedridden or has mobility issues, registration can take place using original documents, provided a medical certificate is presented.

In 2025, registration points for the multi-purpose cash assistance program will open on January 13. You can submit your application at the following cities:

December 2024 Benefits Reminder
In December 2024, every low-income family, as well as IDP families with children or adult family members with disabilities of the 1st group, will receive a one-time payment of 6,500 UAH per child from the government.
