Vehicle Lost Control, Impacted Tree at High Speed
The accident occurred on Sunday along Route 11, at kilometer 263 near General Conesa. According to preliminary reports, a Toyota Etios carrying the family crashed into a tree after losing control, allegedly due to excessive speed in wet road conditions. The vehicle reportedly reached speeds of up to 160 km/h in a zone with a limit of 110 km/h.
Mother and Two Children Perish; Father and Son Critically Injured
The mother, identified as Ezequiel Reales (42), and her two children, aged 3 and 10, lost their lives in the crash. Reales and his 8-year-old son, Juan Ignacio, were rushed to the Hospital Italiano and Hospital de Niños respectively, both in critical condition.
Campaign to Donate Blood for Young Survivor
In the wake of the tragedy, a campaign has been launched to collect blood donations for Juan Ignacio, who underwent surgery after suffering complications from a broken rib that caused fluid to accumulate in his lung. Fractures in his tibia, femur, hip, ankle, and forearm were also reported. Donations of all blood types are being accepted at the Centro Regional de Hemoterapia, located at 71 between 26 and 27, from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Investigation Ongoing
The incident is being investigated by the Specialized Unit of the judicial police of Dolores, who are working to determine the cause of the crash. Authorities also confirmed that the family was traveling to the coastal cities of the region at the time of the accident.
