Vilnius Airport has opened a new business lounge in the Baltic states, developed by the Swiss company Swissport. The facility, named Aspire Lounge, spans two main zones and is designed to accommodate growing passenger numbers at the capital’s aviation hub.
Inside the New Aspire Lounge
Commercial Director Tero Lampen announced the opening of the facility, noting that the project cost approximately 2 million euros. The lounge features two primary spaces known as Luxe and Lifestyle, alongside dedicated quiet zones, relaxation areas, and a children’s play space. Both main areas include operating bars offering snacks, while visitors can also order full dishes. Lampen stated during a media tour that the goal was to improve terminal spaces and renovate the existing building following the opening last month.
The facility is divided into specific functional areas to serve different traveler needs. Business amenities include a seven-seat conference table for group meetings, individual workstations, and soundproof phone booths for private calls. Additional guest facilities consist of seating areas, a ventilated smoking room, separate toilets, and showers. Visitors can also access free high-speed Wi-Fi, multiple device charging points, and reach the lounge via lift.
Passenger Growth and Future Airport Development
According to LTOU, the lounge operates under a rental contract framework, meaning its format and capacity could expand or change in the future to match airport demands.
This opening follows several other infrastructure updates at the capital’s airport. Following the construction of a new departure terminal, an upgraded commercial space named VNO Plaza opened in the old terminal area in June. LTOU and international design firm Zaha Hadid Architects signed a design contract for a new arrival terminal last November. That project’s first phase, valued at 5.74 million euros including value-added tax (Value-Added Tax – VAT), runs through the end of 2028 and covers design, old building demolition, site clearance, and construction work.
