UPDATE: Vape Shop in Pleven Selling Drug-Laced Products to Minors
In an undercover operation, NOVA journalists discovered that a Pleven vape shop is easily selling e-cigarettes laced with narcotics to underaged customers. Audio footage obtained during the sting reveals a local vendor admitting to the illegal practice.
When asked, the vendor was reported saying, "I’ve tried it myself. Kids often come in for it. The vape had marijuana in it. It’s quite potent, can make you pass out. There’s a shop across the street that sells them too."
Following the exposé, Plevan’s regional prosecutor, Vladimir Nikolov, confirmed an investigation is underway.
"We’re actively probing the case. The next step is to determine how the suspect vape ended up with the children. We’re working under the assumption it was purchased in Sofia by a person, and we’ll need a toxicological examination to understand how the substance affected the deceased," Nikolov elaborated.
As a reminder, a 14-year-old boy recently died after falling from the rooftop of a 14-story building in Pleven. He had reportedly consumed a drug-laced vape before his fatal fall.
