Xbox has launched Mythic Achievements for Xbox Insiders, introducing a 100% completion reward that mirrors PlayStation Platinum trophies. The update retroactively unlocks status for completed games, including Xbox 360 titles, and adds a dedicated profile tab with progress tracking.
Microsoft has finally brought a platinum-style trophy system to its ecosystem. The feature rolled out to Xbox Insiders on September 29, 2026, after initial leaks surfaced through an Xbox PC app update earlier in the month. For nearly twenty years, achievement hunters on Xbox have watched Sony reward full completions with distinct accolades while their own monumental 100% runs sat inside standard achievement lists without special distinction.

How Mythic Achievements Work on Xbox Consoles and PC
To earn a Mythic Achievement, a player must obtain every original achievement in a given game’s base list. Once unlocked, the status remains permanently attached to the player’s profile.
Crucially, downloadable content does not block progress. Achievements added later through DLC or post-launch updates are treated as separate add-on lists and are not required to hit Mythic status.

Tracking Progress and Profile Updates
Alongside the new tier, Microsoft is overhauling how players view their history. A brand-new Gaming tab is arriving on user profiles, housing achievements, Gamerscore milestone badges, and completed games. Players can also inspect friends’ Gaming tabs to compare collections and see which titles they have pushed to completion.
