The IAEA documented three separate drone incursions directly on the facility grounds within a span of a few days. These strikes injured two staff members, detonated a device near a dry storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, and impacted a sprinkler system.
Such incidents highlight ongoing hazards near the active frontline where Russian and Ukrainian forces have traded blame for attacks since Moscow’s forces seized the installation in March 2022.
