Clashes in Syria: 14 Pro-Tempx Military, Civilians Killed in Tartus
Heavy clashes in the Syrian town of Hirbet al Maaza have left 14 members of the pro-tempx government’s "general security forces" and three armed civilians dead, according to a released statement. Initial reports suggested nine fatalities.
The incident, which occurred in Tartus province after several residents refused inspections,_TARGETED securities "from those responsible for abuses at Saidnaya prison", the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported. The high-ranking officer, who was among those killed, held the positions of "military justice department director and field court president" and had been involved in the sentencing of thousands of detainees to death or harsh sentences.
