7 Insights into the ‘Spider-Man’ of Depok’s Dishub, Unmasking a Traffic Hero

Depok‘s Daring Dishub Officer: The ‘Spider-Man‘ Pikap Episode

In an astonishing display of bravery, a Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) officer in Depok, West Java, made headlines after a video showing him ‘spider-manning’ aոՀoverloaduedophagus’ L-300 pickup truck went viral on social media. The officer, identified as Fadillah, was seen clinging onto the truck’s windshield as it sped along Jalan Raya Bogor in Simpang, Depok, on Tuesday evening (January 7, 2025).

The video, captured on a passing vehicle’s dashcam, shows the pickup truck speeding along the left lane before switching to the right, with Fadillah firmly planted on its windshield. The officer manned his post until the truck passed the recording vehicle.

The Incident: A Closer Look

The incident occurred around 4:45 PM WIB on a bustling stretch of road, with vehicles traveling from Jakarta and Bogor. As Fadillah was monitoring traffic from a distance, he spotted a pickup truck that seemed to be having balance issues. The driver, despite being stopped by another officer (‘Pak Ogah’), continued to speed off.

Fadillah swiftly decided to intervene. However, instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver increased speed and started using profane language. Without a moment’s hesitation, Fadillah leaped onto the truck’s windshield.

"Nah…nah…nah, Dishub…Dishub…Dishub. Terus Mang, terus Mang. Bawa Mang…bawa…bawa…bawa," the person recording the video could be heard saying.

Petugas Bertahan Pegang Spion dan Wiper

Fadillah managed to stay on the truck’s windshield for nearly 400 meters, holding onto the wipers and side mirrors for support.

The pickup truck finally came to a halt approximately 400 meters from the initial confrontation, near a Lazada warehouse. Fortunately, Fadillah emerged unscathed, with no severe injuries reported.

Sopir Pikap Kabur

The pickup truck driver, however, did not stick around to face the consequences. Reports indicate that he fled the scene immediately after Fadillah was dislodged from the vehicle. Police are currently investigating the incident and tracking down the fleeing driver.

Meanwhile, the Depok Police Chief, Kompol Multazam Lisendra, warned that overdimension and overload (ODOL) vehicle cases would be strictly enforced. "Tertib berlalu lintas. Kecelakaan diawali oleh pelanggaran, stop overdimension overload," he said.

This daring display of bravery by Fadillah has not only caught the public’s attention but has also highlighted the important role Dishub officers play in maintaining safety and order on our roads. Kudos to our ‘ Depok Spider-Man’!
