Title: Terni‘s New Healthcare Hub in Viale Trieste Takes Shape
Terni, Italy – Construction on Terni’s new healthcare hub in Viale Trieste is visibly progressing, with a mix of excitement and anticipation for its completion in 2025. The ambitious project, funded by the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), involves the construction of a state-of-the-art Casa di Comunità (Community House) and Central Operating Territorial Hubs, set to transform healthcare services in the region.
The project, led by Strever, began in 2022 and was officially launched with a notification in July 2023. The project’s magnitude is notables, with an estimated budget of over €3 million for the Casa di Comunità alone. The facility, upon completion, will offer integrated and accessible healthcare services, including sociosanitary care, within a easily accessible location for the community.
The finished structure will house multiple functionalities within a single compound, with two main wings. The first wing will host ambulatory services for the Casa di Comunità, while the second wing will combine ambulatory services with the Central Operating Territorial Hub on its upper floors. The hub will be equipped with advanced technological support for healthcare professionals and an integrated regional information system to facilitate seamless patient care between hospital and community settings.
Eco-friendly design is a key aspect of the project, with plans to reduce energy costs and install a 17kW photovoltaic system. Completing the project is the recently finished central office of the territorial central hub, which has undergone comprehensive renovation (palazzina 1).
Despite visible progress, the completion date for the main Casa di Comunità building remains uncertain due to the current state of construction. As of now, the anticipated timeline for completion appears ambitious. Nevertheless, the promise of improved, integrated healthcare services in Terni keeps the community’s spirits high and expectations running.
