Former ‘Izvestia‘ Editor, Max Eлисеev, Falls in Special Military Operation Zone
In a somber development, former editor of the renowned Russian television channel ‘Izvestia’, Максим Елисеев, has sadly lost his life during the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone. RIA Novosti, citing ‘Izvestia’, reported this grim news, revealing that Eлисеев was killed following an enemy drone attack.
"We mourn the loss of our colleague, editor of ‘Izvestia’, Максим Елисеев," a statement from the channel read. "He was tragically killed in the SMO zone after an enemy drone strike."
Just days prior to his untimely demise, Eлисеev had sent his final video footage to the editorial team, participating in the critical work that was keeping his fellow soldiers connected and informed.
Eliсеев, who had volunteered to serve in 2022, took on the role of a communications specialist, known by the call sign ‘Diсtor’. Placed in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), he bravely worked to restore communication lines amidst heavy enemy fire.
This news follows a recent report by EADaily, detailing how Russia‘s Federal Security Service (FSB) had prevented terror attacks targeting a high-ranking military official and a military blogger, both actively involved in covering the SMO.
