Breda’s Vlaszak to Undergo Transformative Works; Central Park 076: A New Residential Landmark
Mark your calendars, Breda residents! The city is set to undergo significant transformations with the commencement of two major projects: the revitalization of Vlaszak and the construction of Central Park 076.
Vlaszak: A Green and Historic Makeover
From June 2024 to March 2025, the municipality will be focusing on revamping Vlaszak. The primary objectives include:
- Vergroening: Integrating more greenery to create a lush and inviting space.
- Better Urban Connectivity: Enhancing connections to the city’s heart for easier accessibility.
- Historical Charm: Restoring and preserving the area’s rich historical character.
- Improved Quality of Life: Boosting the resident’s comfort and enjoyment of the space.
- Traffic Mitigation and Safety: Reducing traffic congestion and enhancing safety measures.
Central Park 076: A New Residential Hub
On the horizon is Central Park 076, an impressive 150-apartment complex slated for the former Incom-terrein and huize Raffy sites. This ambitious project will breathe new life into these locations, providing high-quality housing options right by the picturesque Stadspark Valkenberg.
The project has reached a significant milestone with the bestemmingsplan being declared onherroepelijk in November 2024. This paves the way for construction to begin in 2025, adding a stunning architectural touch to Breda’s skyline.
In addition, the iconic Boschstraat monument will receive new life as it’s converted into social rental homes, further strengthening Breda’s commitment to affordable housing.
