New Ransom Attempt in Ålesund: Bunnpris Store Targeted
In the wee hours of Sunday, another daring ransom attempt took place in Ålesund’s city center, as confirmed by Eivind Klokkersund, operations leader at the Møre and Romsdal police district, at 00:19. The target was a Bunnpris store located in Nedre Strandgate, but it appears nothing was stolen, according to Sunnmørsposten.
Witnesses present at the scene reported a suspect threatening the store staff. The operations leader revealed that, based on these witness statements, it’s suspected that a weapon, possibly a firearm, was involved.
The police were alerted about the incident at around 10:00 PM. Though no arrests have been made yet, a description of the suspect has been circulated. The individual is said to be 180 cm tall, wearing a light grey hoodie, dark grey joggers, black gloves, white socks, and black shoes.
