Head-on Collision Shuts Down E6 at Andslimoen; One Hospitalized

TROMS, Norway — A head-on collision involving two vehicles on Sunday evening has led to the closure of E6 at Andslimoen, as reported by Troms Police District. The collision took place at around 7:50 PM.

"Preliminary information suggests a front-to-front collision between two vehicles," said operasjonsleder Christian Andreassen in a press statement. While the extent and severity of the crash remain unknown, it is believed that significant property damage and high impact were involved. A total of three individuals were involved, with one person undergoing treatment by ambulance personnel at the scene.

Andslimoen, a populated area in Målselv municipality, saw the incident but was quickly dispatched to University Hospital of Tromsø. Further details about the extent of injuries are yet to be disclosed, but police confirmed that no one was trapped in the vehicles.

At 8:43 PM, police released an update: "We will proceed with on-site investigations and commence interviews with witnesses and those involved to build a clearer picture of the incident," adding that the injured individual is being transported to the University Hospital of Tromsø.
