Mother Accused of Stabbing Her 8-Year-Old Son in the Head in Neuquén
In a horrifying incident, a woman stands accused of stabbing her 8-year-old son in the head in Neuquén, Argentina. The child remains hospitalized, and the mother has been placed under a restraining order by the authorities.
The gruesome event took place on Sunday afternoon at the woman’s residence on Abraham Street. Following the attack, the police, led by the on-duty prosecutor, Silvia Moreira, swiftly executed a search warrant on the premises. The forensic team also conducted a thorough investigation at the scene.
The victim, an 8-year-old boy, was rushed to the Hospital Castro Rendón, where he continues to receive medical attention. The authorities have since charged the mother with aggravated assault against a minor and imposed a restraining order, prohibiting her from approaching the child for the next 60 days.
To gain more insight into the incident, the child will undergo a recorded interview at the Child’s House (Cámara Gesell) facility. The judge overseeing the case has imposed a gag order to safeguard the progress of the investigation, which has deeply affected the community in Neuquén.
