UNAD Announces 2026 Graduation Calendar: A Guide for Students

The National Open and Distance University (UNAD) has released its official graduation calendar for 2026, outlining the procedures, requirements, and key dates for students seeking to obtain their degrees. The calendar covers ordinary, extraordinary, and special window graduation processes.

Ordinary Graduation: Key Dates and Process

Students aiming for ordinary graduation can mark April 24th and 25th, 2026, as the dates for the ceremonies. The process begins with application and completion of the alumni tracking form, running from January 31st to February 20th.

From February 2nd to February 23rd, schools will conduct academic reviews, approving or rejecting applications. During this period, students must also submit any missing documents to their center’s designated graduation email address.

Administrative review, including financial status, library clearance, and student data verification, takes place from February 2nd to March 2nd. Students will also receive and pay for the graduation fee during this time. Receipts and any remaining documents should be sent to the graduation email by March 4th. Requests for title delivery to a center different from the student’s enrollment must also be included.

The System of Degrees and Titles will conduct a final review and issue approvals or rejections from March 7th to March 31st.

Extraordinary Graduation: Timeline and Requirements

The extraordinary graduation ceremony is scheduled for June 20th, 2026. Application for this process runs from March 12th to March 27th, with academic document review following from March 13th to March 31st.

Financial status review and payment of extraordinary graduation fees will occur from March 13th to April 9th. Students must submit payment receipts and any outstanding documents by April 11th, also indicating if they require title delivery to a different center.

Centers will review and upload documents to the degree application system from March 13th to April 22nd. The System of Degrees and Titles will then conduct the final review from April 23rd to May 23rd.

Graduation by Window: Two Opportunities in 2026

UNAD offers two windows for graduation. The first window’s process includes application from January 21st to January 30th, academic review and submission of missing documents from January 22nd to February 6th, financial review and payment from January 22nd to February 13th, and receipt/document submission from January 22nd to February 14th. Center review and upload run from January 22nd to February 17th, with the System of Degrees and Titles’ final review from February 17th to March 3rd. Title shipment from Bogotá to centers is scheduled for March 25th.

The second window follows this schedule: application from March 2nd to March 11th; academic review from March 3rd to March 18th; financial review and payment from March 3rd to March 26th; receipt and document submission from March 3rd to March 29th; center review and upload from March 3rd to April 10th; and final review by the System of Degrees and Titles from April 13th to April 30th.
