Noel Walsh, a resident of Boherkyle, Freshford, Kilkenny, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at the Oak Unit of Ardkeen Hospital in Waterford, following a year-long struggle with cancer.
A Life Remembered
Mr. Walsh is deeply mourned by his wife, Catherine, and their children, Serena, Jamie, and Nathan. He is also remembered by Serena’s partner, Daniel, and his parents, Danny and Statia. The extended circle of family includes his sister, Rachel, and brothers William, Pa, Daniel (known as Farmer Dan), Trevor, Michael (Mouse), and Enda.
The loss is also felt by Mr. Walsh’s brother-in-law, Tom, sister-in-law Georgette, and partners Olive, Bridget, and Cindy, as well as the wider Walsh and Williams families, numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing will take place at Kennedy’s Funeral Home in Freshford (R95 C44T) on Friday, March 13th, beginning at 5pm, with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, March 14th, at 11am in St. Lachtain’s Church, Freshford (R95 K003), followed by burial in St. Lachtain’s Cemetery.
