NYU Langone Leads in Neurology and Cardiology
NYU Langone Hospitals secured the nation’s No. 1 ranking in neurology and neurosurgery for the fifth consecutive year. The system also held the top spot in cardiology, heart and vascular surgery for the second year in a row, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Twelve of the health system’s 13 ranked clinical specialties placed in the top 10. Dr. Alec C. Kimmelman, CEO of NYU Langone Health and dean of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, attributed these results to care teams focusing on details that impact patient outcomes.
The recognition covers multiple facilities, including Tisch Hospital, Kimmel Pavilion, and NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in Manhattan, as well as locations in Brooklyn and Long Island. Mount Sinai Specializations and Community Access
Mount Sinai Hospital earned top-five rankings in geriatrics as well as cardiology, heart and vascular surgery. The hospital also placed in the top 10 for cancer, according to U.S. News & World Report.
