Massive Destruction Across Ukraine After Russian Shelling as Kyiv Strikes Back

The early morning attack in the Saltivskyi district injured at least 21 people. Among the wounded, 11 sustained blast injuries, two suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, and eight experienced acute stress reactions, including a five-year-old boy. Regional authorities confirmed that residential blocks bore the brunt of the impact during the assault.

Energy and Port Infrastructure Hit in Odesa

Odesa absorbed dozens of incoming missiles and drones overnight, as reported by regional administration head Oleh Kiper. The barrage damaged key infrastructure sites, the local port, and multiple residential buildings across two separate city districts. At least eight people sustained injuries, predominantly from flying shrapnel, with local health officials grading seven of those casualties in medium-serious condition.

Pavlograd and Wider Regional Impact

Further inland, strikes in Pavlograd hit a local shopping center and an energy facility. Those impacts left nine people injured, including four children. Additional missile and drone activity was recorded across the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Mykolaiv regions, compounding damage to power grids and civilian infrastructure as utility crews worked to assess the scale of the outages.

Cross-Border Drone Attacks Inside Russia

Simultaneously, Ukrainian drone operations struck targets within Russian territory. In Belgorod, acting regional governor Oleksandr Shuvaev reported that drone strikes injured 13 people, including two children. A four-year-old boy was hospitalized with chest wounds following the blasts. The strikes ignited a private house and two vehicles, while damaging at least four multi-family residential structures, an administrative building, and local commercial properties.

Farther south in Novorossiysk, falling drone debris impacted the grounds of two local enterprises and a residential home in the village of Verkhnebakansky, according to city mayor Andrey Kravchenko. A fire broke out in an outbuilding but was quickly extinguished, with no reported injuries. Meanwhile, the State Committee for Emergency Situations of Bashkortostan reported that air defense systems intercepted incoming drones over Ufa, though one projectile struck an under-construction building in the Demsky district, sparking a fire.
