V novoto intervю v bałgarima po "Radio Fokus" na Ivanovden participated the former mayor of Puldav, Ivay Totevik, speaking about the archaeological objects which were started during his mandate.

"Of course, I am proud to see that what we planted many years ago is now blooming in Puldav," said Totevik, referring to the numerous archaeological objects that are opening their doors today. "It’s a normal process in a city, and I’m happy that future mayors, including the current one, Kostadin Dimikov, continue this work."

However, Totevik admitted that he sometimes feels frustrated that not many people mention his accomplishments and that he is rarely invited to the official openings of the projects he started. "But I believe that we should be above these things," he said. "The important thing is to leave a trace in the city."

Looking back at his mayoral years, Totevik recalls that each project had its own challenges. One of the most difficult decisions was whether to dig up the central square with the West Forum or to remove the street in front of the Catholic cathedral to reveal the Great Basilica. "These are very heavy political decisions that only a mayor with great belief in himself can make," he said.

One project that still has not been completed is the Tobacco Warehouses. "It’s a shame that it’s taking so long, but I hope that the current administration will find a solution," said Totevik.

Another project that Totevik started but was never completed is the Zoo Garden. "It was a very heavy political moment in my mandate, and it’s one of the regrets of my term," he said. "I hope that one day this project will be completed and the people of Puldav will be able to enjoy it."

One of the most significant projects that Totevik started is Nebet Tepe. "It’s one of the most important historical sites in Puldav, and I hope that one day the people will be able to enjoy it," he said.

One of the ideas that Totevik had for Nebet Tepe was to build a lift between the hills. "I believe that in a city with hills like Puldav, a lift is a viable solution," he said. "I hope that one day this idea will be realized."

Totevik said that his love for archaeology comes from his desire to understand the history of Puldav. "Every mayor should know the history of the city they govern," he said. "If you don’t know the history, you can’t make a difference in the present."

Looking forward to Ivanovden, Totevik wishes a happy holiday to all and hopes that people will be able to enjoy the city’s cultural heritage. "I hope that Puldav will continue to bloom with archaeological objects and that the people of Puldav will be proud of their city," he said.
