Tilburg Motorcycle Collision Results in Minor Injuries; Near-Miss Fire Incident
A motorcycle rider sustained minor injuries after colliding with a chicane on the Berglandweg in Tilburg today. The man was able to walk away from the incident, only suffering a painful arm, and did not require hospitalization.
The crash occurred when the rider hit a narrow stretch of the road. Quick-thinking bystanders rushed to assist him from the vehicle. Although initial reports suggested the motorcycle might catch fire, it was later discovered that the cyclo panniers were ablaze after emergency services had left the scene.
Firefighters were promptly called back and extinguished the fire, which originated from flammable soundproofing material in the motorcycle’s engine compartment.
