Breaking News: Widespread Search Underway for Ahmed Oulad Sedik, 57, Missing From Amersfoort

In a sudden and concerning turn of events, a massive search operation has been launched in Amersfoort for Ahmed Oulad Sedik, a 57-year-old man who mysteriously vanished from his home on Monday afternoon. Ahmed’s family, especially his brother Abdeslam, is grappling with anxiety and concern as they await any update on his whereabouts.

Speaking to Hart van Nederland, Abdeslam shared, "It’s just a vulnerable man, something like this has never happened before. You see it on TV, but never expect it to happen to your own family." The family has been thrown into a state of chaos since Ahmed’s disappearance, describing it as a real-life nightmare.

Ahmed was last seen at 18:45 on Monday when his niece informed Abdeslam that her father hadn’t returned home. The family, immediately alarmed, began an urgent search. It’s believed that Ahmed, in his forgetful state, might have decided to leave home, possibly without his necessary medication, as he usually returns home after his daily activities.

Ahmed, who lives at the Ganskuijl in Dorrestein, Amersfoort, was last seen near his residence. His recent health conditions, including diabetes and dementia, add to the family’s worry. He is also psychotically unstable and requires regular medication.

The police, after receiving an overwhelming number of tips, searched the area around the Dodenweg in Leusden on Tuesday, but unfortunately, Ahmed was not found. The search continued on Wednesday, the day before Christmas.

Abdeslam, hoping for the best, urges anyone who has seen Ahmed to contact the police immediately. The family’s world has been shaken, and they seek the public’s help to bring their beloved Ahmed home safe.
