Angst in Asker: Puppet Panics Children in Greater Oslo

by Chief Editor

In a peculiar turn of events, residents of Asker have been grappling with an unconventional form of holiday cheer – an individual dressed as Santa Claus, reminiscent of Billy Bob Thornton’s character in the film “Bad Santa.” The mysterious figure has been ringing doorbells and vanishing, leaving homeowners unsettled and, in some instances, dealing with unexpected presents in their gardens.

On several occasions, the atypical Santa has been caught dispersing more than just Christmas spirit, with urine being left behind in some cases. “It’s been quite unpleasant for the residents,” said Operations Leader Sven Martin Ege, who reported that children remained home alone during one of these uninvited visits. Consequently, the children found the experience frightening, adding to the unease felt by the community.

Neighbors have taken to reporting the incidents to local law enforcement, who have been this week searching the area in an effort to put an end to these unusual Santa sightings. “We’re at a loss to explain why this individual is behaving in this manner,” Ege admitted. “So, we’re appealing to the public for any information leading to the identification of this man in a red suit.”
