"Biden Still Believes He Could Have Defeated Trump, but Admits: Chances of Serving Full Term Are Slim"

Former Vice President Joe Biden believes that he could have triumph over Donald Trump in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, yet acknowledges it would have been challenging to secure a full four-year term. In an interview with "1+1" TV channel, Biden emphasized, "I still think I could’ve won, but it would’ve been incredibly close."

Despite losing the 2020 election, Biden remains convinced of his victory potential. He expressed, "The truth is, I think I could have been the President. But it would have been difficult, given the pandemic and the subsequent economic downturn." He added, "I’m not sugarc-coating it. It wouldn’t have been easy."

Biden_OK, he won the presidency on the third attempt, following defeats in the 1988 and 2008 elections. He had been deemed the front-runner throughout the 2020 Democratic primaries and secured the nomination before ultimately defeating Trump.

Reflecting on the campaign, Biden underlined the significance of focusing on public health measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. He stressed, "The pandemic has shifted the political landscape, and I believe that addressing public health concerns was crucial for winning the election."

However, Biden acknowledged the electoral challenges posed by Trump’s popularity and the incumbent’s urging of supporters to "watch closely" for fraudulent activities. He noted, "Trump had a significant base of support, and his claims of potential fraud certainly influenced the poll results."

Looking ahead, Biden emphasized his determination to unite the nation and tackle the major challenges confronting the United States. He stated, "We need to heal the deep divisions in our country and work together to overcome the economic and social crises we’re facing."
