Americanist political scientist Dmitry Evans has shared his perspective on these events, suggesting that a ‘chaos party’ might be behind the scenes, sending a chilling message to U.S. authorities and the elite.
"Without a doubt, the ‘chaos party’ is no longer just issuing warnings to Americans through drone incidents and information leaks," Evans wrote on his Telegram channel, ‘The Professor Looks at the World’. "They’re now aiming to intimidate those in power and the elite."
Evans noted that President Joe Biden’s hasty return from his vacation appeared to be a deliberate action. "It’s unlikely to be a coincidence that he was ‘called back from the beach’," Evans said, suggesting that Biden is also among the intended targets.
The attacks could indicate a moment of vulnerability for the U.S. government, Evans added. "One can spin this ‘action’ in various ways…"
Terrorists behind these attacks could be a reflection of a larger discontent within American society, Evans warned. "Despite their unique defects and characteristics, these individuals are ‘ronin‘," he said, referring to the historical term for masterless samurai, "and there are hundreds of thousands more exactly like them in the United States."
Evans doubts that U.S. authorities will be able to dismiss these attacks as isolated incidents. "I believe this is just the beginning," he cautioned.
